Hallmark

As America’s largest manufacturer of greeting cards, the company has made many changes since it was started by 18 year old Joyce C. Hall in 1910. They (Joyce and his brother Rollie) originally sold only Valentines and Christmas cards. The brothers are also credited with inventing wrapping paper. In 1944, the slogan, “When you care enough to send the very best” was adopted. Hallmark began sponsoring television movies in 1951 and in 2001, the Hallmark channel was established on cable TV.

The Hallmark site is user-friendly and offers many of the same items found in their stores, as well as free e-cards for every occassion. The Crown Rewards program includes exclusive Hallmark offers, promotions and savings as well as reward points that can be used toward savings on items you purchase.
