Gateway is said to have been founded in 1985 in an Iowa farmhouse by Ted Waitt, who started with a $10,000 loan guaranteed by his grandmother, a rented computer and a three-page business plan. Gateway now has millions of customers.
Gateway products are typically custom built and shipped directly to consumers. Gateway acquired the well known low cost computer company, eMachines in March of 2004. Gateway routinely offers a variety of coupons, deals, promotions and special offers. The best deals Gateway offers were typically appear on the Gateway.com Rebates and Deals page, however the pages seems to have been removed or changed locations. Stay tuned.
