Economic crisis brings increased online searches for coupons
I just did a quick search through Google Trends to make see how popular coupon keywords remain in the Web 2.0 era and boy was I surprised. Of the three coupon related keywords I chose, all were trending higher in number of searches performed. The graphs below represent data from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom with the bulk of the volume being U.S. All three coupon terms upticked sharply around the time the world economic crisis began in the late third to early fourth quarter of 2008.
